Clement "Clem" Beck age 75 of Antigo died Thursday, March 01, 2007, at Langlade Memorial Hospital with his family in the care of LeRoyer Hospice. He was born June 29, 1931 in Mattoon to John and Barbara (Fischer) Beck. On June 26, 1956 he and the former Shirley Urban were married at St. Wenzel Catholic Church, Neva.
Mr. Beck is a member of St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church. He was a Parish Council member, usher, and communion distributor at St. Mary Catholic Church.
He attended the Mattoon Village School, Graduated Mattoon High School with the Class of 1950.
During the Korean War, Mr. Beck served as a medic in the United States Army from 1951 to1953. His rank was Technical Sgt. Following his military career; he graduated from Langlade County Normal School in 1955 and later from University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point with a bachelor's degree in Education.
Mr. Beck taught at the Mole Lake Grade School, Deerbrook Graded School, White Lake Grade School, prior to his career as math and drivers education teacher at Antigo High School
He retired in 1991 after 35 years in education. In his retirement he taught drivers education until July 2002.
He enjoyed fishing, trapping, making fire wood and maintaining his lawn.

Mr. Beck was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Rudy Mundl, and a sister Beatrice Kirsch, brother-in-law Joseph Zwirschitz and a sister-in-law Bernadine Beck

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 5, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church. Rev. Jeremiah Worman will officiate.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:30 to 8:00PM and Monday 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday.
Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Cemetery with Antigo veterans conducting military honors.
A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
